TS Casing

KREHALON TS casings are multilayer shrinkable casings coextruded using two types of polyamide with a polyethylene layer sandwiched between. This structure gives a unique combination of strength, barrier and presentation for all today's demanding casing applications.

KREHALON TS casings are designed for use in a wide range of meat, cheese, poultry and fish products. Their performance and durability on modern high speed filling and clipping equipment is outstanding. KREHALON TS casings will enable high productivity, high protection and top quality presentation for all sausage applications.

Available widths
Flat width sizes from 55mm to 95mm in 5mm increments.
Flat width sizes from 100mm to 240mm in 10mm increments.

Thicknesses
48 microns

Colours
KREHALON TS casings are available in clear and several colours as follows:
Amber, Black, three shades of Brown, two shades of Cream, Gold, Pink, two shades of Red, Silver and White.
The minimum order quantity for any one size / colour is 10,000 meters.

CONVERTING OF STRAIGHT CASING

Shirring
Standard shirrable widths: flat width 55mm-240mm.
Standard stick lengths: 45cm and 60cm: the amount of casing per stick varies according to size. Each shirred stick is packed in a net.

Cutting and clipping
Standard cut sizes: flat width 55mm-240mm, length 200mm-800mm.
Standard quantity per bundle: 25 pieces.
Clipped casings can be supplied with or without loop.

Printing

1. Printing width is width of casing minus 5mm on both sides.
2. Maximum repeat length is 580mm.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Preparation for use.
   TS casings can be used without soaking. Soaking will increase the flexibility. If soaking is required we recommend 30 minutes in water at 25 - 45°C.
2. Storage
   The ideal storage temperature is 15 - 20°C with an ideal relative humidity of 50 - 60%. Temperature should not exceed 25°C. Avoid direct sunlight.
   Boxes of converted KREHALON TS casings should not be stacked higher than 7 boxes.
3. Flat width
   The standard range of flat widths can vary + or - 5%.
4. KREHALON TS casing can also be supplied on 500 meter reels.
